Life on a landed estate: Oxfordshire family discover dream home at Park View

When Nimi and Louis Cooper started looking for a new family home, they knew they wanted to remain in their hometown.

At Park View, they were presented with an exciting opportunity to live in a newly built property which forms part of our landed estate.

Park View is a flourishing residential community, situated just a 10-minute walk to the gates of the Palace. Alongside the appeal of the location, Nimi and Louis fell in love with the architectural design of our homes, many of which are built using natural Cotswold Stone in keeping with properties in the surrounding area.

Nimi comments: “Having already lived in Woodstock, we’d followed Park View’s progress since the initial planning application was submitted. We immediately fell in love with the designs proposed by the architects, and this was reaffirmed when we saw the homes being built. The development is a real dedication to local families and so we were excited by the prospect of joining this new community.”

Nimi and Louis both wanted a detached property with a garage and a large garden. They found this in Park View’s first phase of construction; a four-bedroom detached and double-fronted family home.

They explain: “Since the homes were built off-plan, this gave us the time to look through the floor plans and see which property would most suit our needs. As soon as the homes became available to reserve, we applied and it became the first reservation of the entire scheme. The whole process itself was simple and very straightforward.”

The couple purchased their home at Park View and moved in 2021. Since then, they have styled each room in their house to taste, drawing inspiration from the local area’s history.

Nimi explains: “We were keen for every space to have its own identity and for the interior to compliment the properties’ architectural design. Our favourite room is the Cigar Lounge living room, which has a boutique feel with a mid-century vibe. All we are missing is a portrait of Winston Churchill, which is instead hung in the hallway to greet visitors. We’re proud to call Park View home.”

Park View is conveniently situated just a 14-minute walk from Woodstock town centre which offers a range of pubs, cafés and restaurants as well as boutiques and antique shops. Woodstock C of E Primary and The Marlborough Church of England School, providing secondary education, can be reached in four-minutes by car. Oxford is just a half an hour drive away, whilst nearby Hanborough Station provides direct travel by train to London Paddington in just over 60 minutes.

Prices at Park View start from £390,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and £565,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached home. A selection of properties are also available via Shared Ownership.

The new show home is available to view by appointment only. View our homes or call 01993 223320.
