The Deacon, part of Blenheim Estate Homes’ community Park View in Woodstock, offers a unique blend of modern living combined with the timeless charm of the Cotswolds. Designed in partnership with award-winning architects, Adam Architecture, like all the homes at Park View, The Deacon reflects Blenheim Estate Homes' commitment to integrating with the surrounding environment and setting new standards in design.
Stone walls have been a feature in the Cotswolds for thousands of years. They serve as functional boundaries and are a testament to the region’s rich architectural heritage. Blenheim Palace itself has more than nine miles of walling around its perimeter, with some sections dating back to the 18th century. When designing Park View we wanted to seamlessly blend the history of these heritage skills of the local area into something that would stand the test of time.
The Deacon provides lots of flexible space for its future homeowner. A garage with first floor annex offers a way to increase your functional living area, perhaps a home office space for those who work from home or study. It might even become the gym studio of your dreams, or the crafting space you’ve been after for years. The Deacon’s annex also provides a separate entrance, perfect for if you have guests staying who might be enjoying a late night at one of the fantastic events at the nearby Blenheim Palace.
Most stone properties don’t have sustainable technologies installed, but The Deacon sets itself apart by incorporating cutting-edge features such as in-roof solar PV, an air source heat pump, and EV car charging access. The in-roof solar PV panels not only provide low carbon energy but also blend seamlessly into the property’s design. The air source heat pump is an environmentally friendly solution that efficiently heats the home. Additionally, the inclusion of EV charging access ensures that the property is ready for the growing shift towards electric vehicles. These advanced technologies provide homeowners with the confidence that their property is both sustainable and equipped to meet future energy demands.
