Improvement works - Bladon Roundabout

On Monday 10th January work will begin to improve the Bladon Roundabout on the A44. These works are expected to take approximately 5 weeks to complete (weather dependant).

The works consist of widening to the roundabout approaches and improvements to the cycleways and footpaths, creating a continuous route between Bladon and Woodstock.

The work will deliver clearer dual vehicle lanes on approaches to the roundabout, that will aid better traffic flows and provide wider access for larger vehicles.

The footpaths and cycleways will be improved with areas widened and new sections constructed.

The construction work will be undertaken both during the day and at night, to ensure disruption is minimised and the work can be carried out safely.

During some periods of the night works, it will be necessary to close the A44 in both directions East of the roundabout, and diversions and traffic controls will be in effect. Signage will be in place 5 days before closures.
