Hanborough Gate to offer Taste of the Countryside

Visitors to the newly-opened Hanborough Gate show home will be able to enjoy a taste of the countryside on Monday, 27th May.

The special event will provide potential house buyers and new residents with the opportunity to discover more about the new development’s rural routes.

Running from 11.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00, the event features the chance to meet Blenheim Estate shepherd Charles Gerring with some of his newly-born lambs, talk to Nick Bainbridge, Head of the Forestry department about the ancient woodland and how they manage it and discover more about land management and farming.

“One of the key attractions of Hanborough Gate and the Long Hanborough development is its rural location,” said Roy Cox Estates Director.

“This special event offers anyone interested in moving or already living in the development the opportunity to find out more about what makes it so special and meet the people who care for it,” he added.

The show home will also be providing maps of the footpaths around the development for visitors to explore. In addition, anyone that visits the show home can also collect a free day pass to Blenheim Palace. Hanborough Gate is a development by PYE Homes in partnership with the Blenheim

Estate Homes and features a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes to the western side of Long Hanborough. A total of 169 homes will be built by the end of 2021. With Oxford just over 10 minutes away by train, and London just over an hour, the new development provides the perfect combination of rural living with easy commuting. Long Hanborough village is surrounded by countryside to explore with good footpath networks to enjoy.

Hanborough Gate’s location on the edge of Long Hanborough village and just five miles from Witney and Woodstock also makes it part of a wider local community with Blenheim Palace itself nearby.

The new development will feature a new doctors’ surgery. Other local amenities are a short walk including a dentist, pharmacy, Post Office, food store, fish and chip shop, beauty salon, bicycle repair shop and two pubs.

The local community also has several sporting clubs and family activities including football, scouts/rainbows, tennis and cricket. Established in 1927, Kidlington-based PYE Homes has a recognised tradition of building high-quality new homes locally in Oxfordshire and further afield.
